ARL Team Coach Awareness Program
ARL Team Coach Certification Program


ARL Team Coach Certification© Program (three 2-day modules with practice, review and coaching activity between the modules)

This program is intended as an in-house program for individuals who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of ARL principles and embed their practical application in their organization. Throughout the program the participants will be working in a team on a client-selected challenge, while learning team coaching skills guided by an experienced LIM Learning Coach. They will also experiment with their coaching skills between the two modules and will receive feedback and coaching to reinforce their learning.

What are the program outcomes? By the end of the program, the participants will have:

  1. Practiced the role of an ARL Team Coach and received feedback on their performance

  2. Applied ARL practices, concepts and tools in their own organization, exchanged those experiences with colleagues, and received feedback on how to implement improvements

  3. Applied Team Coaching and Peer Coaching inside their own organization

  4. Discovered the ‘mindset’ of an ARL Team Coach

  5. Explored the personal values, assumptions and mindsets that enhance the role of an ARL Team Coach

  6. Deepened self-awareness

  7. Identified key factors for designing learning interventions

  8. Designed a learning intervention

  9. Mastered basic ARL concepts and tools, including LIM’s E-Learning Team Coaching Tools and Concepts Program

What are the requirements for certification?

  1. Attended and actively participated in all program modules

  2. Actively participated in a team that will work on a team-selected challenge project that lasts throughout the program

  3. Completed between-module assignments

  4. Written a paper on the book, Action Reflection Learning: Solving Real Business Problems by Connecting Learning with Earning, that extracts insights and new questions to explore

  5. Written an essay on “Becoming a Team Coach: My Journey”

  6. Coached a team and received a minimum average of 3.5 on a 5 point proficiency scale (based on an anonymous feedback survey)

  7. Completed and mastered the Tools and Concepts in LIM’s ARL Team Coaching Tools and Concepts E-Learning Platform

  8. Passed an oral and written examination

What materials are provided?

Participants will receive an ARL Learning Journal, electronic versions of the ARL concepts and tools introduced during the program (Peer Coaching; SRWR; Fist-Five; R&D; Power Planning; 4-MAT), and a copy of the ARL book Action Reflection Learning: Solving Real Business Problems by Connecting Learning with Earning.
