What & Why of the Mentoring Program

The purpose of the Mentoring Program is to enhance your coaching skills to meet the International Coaching Federation (ICF) coaching competencies and credentialing requirements.

The Mentoring Program provided by the SLTC Academy will enable you to achieve one or both of the below objectives:

Attain 10 hours of mentoring to meet one of the ICF credentialing requirements

Prepare for the Performance Evaluation (recordings) at the ACC level

How is the Mentoring for ACC Conducted?
-
Each mentoring program consists of 3 group mentoring and 3 individual mentoring sessions.

In total, each participant will attain 7 group mentoring hours and 3 individual mentoring hours.

Participants are required to practice with their learning partner after each group mentoring session (learning partners will be decided at the start of the program).
Program Structure
Mentoring Fees
The group mentoring fee is as follows:

US$2,000 if you are preparing for ACC Performance Evaluation (PE) objective (US$2,500 for PCC)

US$1,500 for mentoring without PE objective

As special support for graduates of the Team Coach Certification Program, you will pay only 25% or US$500 if you only need mentoring for the PE recording (up to 3 individual mentoring sessions and review of up to 5 recordings). For this arrangement, you will have 3 hours of 1:1 mentoring.

Your Mentors
Tan Swee Heng, Singapore, MCC, Coach Supervisor, ICF Advanced Certification In Team Coaching (ACTC), Shared Leadership Team Coach, Qualified PCC Assessor
Tan Swee Heng is the Head of the Shared Leadership Team Coaching Academy & Global Program Director of LIM. He is a Master Certified Coach, Coach Supervisor and is qualified as a PCC Assessor. Swee Heng has more than 3,000 coaching hours. In the last 12 years, coached leaders at all levels in Asia Pacific, Europe and US, from senior executives and senior leadership teams to team leads across industries. He is the current Chair for the ICF Singapore Team Coaching Community of Practice. He is also a member of the Governing Council of the Singapore Institute of Management Society.
In terms of his grounding, Swee Heng had been practicing leadership and management for 31 years in 3 large organizations, working in the management, operations and human capital functions with positions such as the Asia Pacific Human Resource Director and a member of the Regional Management Board.
Swee Heng has published a book “Coaching In The Moment” — How busy leaders can make more impact with less time”. He is currently co-authoring with Ernie Turner a book entitled “Shared Leadership Disciplines – A better way to lead and coach.”
Swee Heng enjoys morning runs and cooking healthy meals for his family.
Ruby Palma, Philippines, PCC, ICF Advanced Certification In Team Coaching (ACTC), Shared Leadership Team Coach, Qualified PCC Assessor
Ruby Palma is Principal Partner and Shared Leadership Coach of Leadership in Motion (LIM) Global Philippines. She is a Past President of the International Coach Federation Philippine Chapter and an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC). Ruby has over 20 years of business management experience in a multinational environment.
Expertise includes keen sensitivity and ability to coach executives, mentor leader coaches, develop and motivate high performing teams, and a flair for understanding individual and organizational values that season the human resources and leadership functions.
Ruby was Asia’s rep to the Global Learning and Development (GLAD) network where along with other representatives, she implemented the global L&D programs as Regional L&D Director and HR Director of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in Asia Pacific.
Ruby’s advocacies promote family wellness, and social responsibility through her set up of entrepreneurial cooperatives, co-hosting a livestream program for micro small & medium size enterprises (MSMEs), and pastoral work.
Ruby’s passion includes music, mountains and moments with family.
Loo Kai Yee, Singapore, PCC, Shared Leadership Team Coach
Kai Yee’s professional coaching in team and leadership development is backed by more than three decades of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, where he held senior positions in manufacturing, HR, organizational development and culture change. He coaches leaders individually for greater personal effectiveness, conducts team-coaching for higher performance as well as facilitates group coaching for specific objectives such as empowerment of women leaders to overcome gender-stereotyping.
His practical experience in technical operations as well as human resource development gives him a very balanced approach in coaching leaders. He helps clients to focus on getting business results while at the same time coaching them on personal development, so that the successes they gain are sustainable.
Kai Yee has been a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) since 2014. His coaching style is adapted to the needs of the clients and is grounded in different approaches such as Strengths-based, Narrative as well as Solution-Focused coaching.
He contributes back to the community through mentoring of young adults and pro bono coaching of social entrepreneurs.
Cheong Choy Kiew, Singapore, ACC, Shared Leadership Team Coach, ICF Advanced Certification In Team Coaching (ACTC)
Cheong Choy Kiew is an ICF credentialed Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and has also obtained certification as a Shared Leadership Team Coach with Leadership In Motion (LIM). Her expertise in coaching spans individuals (executives and youth), groups, and teams.
Choy Kiew has over 30 years of corporate experience in senior leadership positions across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and South Africa. She started her career in the Singapore Ministry of Health. It was in AstraZeneca, where she spent 27 years of her career, that she developed her capabilities in leading across complex, multi-country, multi-ethnic organizational structures. During her career in AstraZeneca, she has lived and worked in Japan and in China. Her last corporate role was in IQVIA, leading the Quality Assurance team in the Asia-Pacific, Europe, and South Africa.
Choy Kiew is co-founder of The Coaching Culture Pte Ltd, a boutique coaching and consultancy practice. She has published 2 books — the first book was co-authored with her business partners, entitled “Into The Wild – Creating a Coaching Culture at the Workplace” and the second book “Nyonya Puteh” in honor of her family’s rich heritage.
